OpenStudy (afloridagirl):

How many unique ways are there to arrange the letters in the word SONG?

OpenStudy (lemontoki):

snog is one

OpenStudy (afloridagirl):

thank you but i got it

OpenStudy (lemontoki):

youre welcome XD

OpenStudy (mhchen):

4 permutation. \[4! = 4 * 3 * 2 * 1 = 24\]

OpenStudy (mhchen):

There are 4 letters. So that would be 4!. If there were REPEATING LETTERS. Example: SOONG This would be 5 letters (5!) 'pronounced 5 factorial' And you would divide by 2! for the repeating OOs. \[\frac{5!}{2!}\] If there were MULTIPLE REPEATING LETTERS: Example: SSOONNN This would be 7 letters, so it would be 7! And you would divide by 2! for the SS, 2! for the OO, and 3! for the NNN. \[\frac{7!}{2!2!3!}\] Trust me, you're gonna get tested over these as well and my teacher tried to mindblow my class which made it really confusing :(

OpenStudy (isaiahhlindsayy):

honestly i would have never gotten this
