Find UV

Not particularly clear what is wanted. If you would include the ENTIRE problem statement and YOUR best work, you are most likely to get the best and quickest assistance.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Try this: Assume that the lengths of QU and UV are the same. Set 5x+9=7x+1. Solve for x. To find the length of UV, substitute your value of x into 7x+1.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

from this diagram result that the length of UV = the length of QU so 5x+9 = 7x +1 subtract from both side 5x and will get 9 = 7x-5x +1 9 = 2x +1 subtract from both sides 1 9-1 = 2x 8 = 2x x = 8/2 = 4 x = 4 so the length of side UV = 7x +1 = 7*4 +1 = 28 +1 = 28 hope helped

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

sorry the result is UV = 28+1 = 29

OpenStudy (sophie_610):

thank you @jhonyy9

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yw was my pleasure good luck bye bye
