OpenStudy (madeleine2):

Angelina factored (x - 4^8 ) and wrote that it was equal to (x^2 - 4^2)^2(x^2 + 4^2). Use complete sentences to explain how you could confirm whether Angela’s solution is correct. Prove your conclusion by multiplying out Angela’s solution.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

How did it get from "x" to "x^4"?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

You asked this before, and I answered, but you decided to close the question and start a new one. First, are you sure the exponent of x is 1 as shown? Second, you wrote: (x - 4^8 ). Why are there parentheses around the expression? Are the parentheses properly paced? Third, please check with the original problem and correct your post. You can take a picture and post it, or you can use the equation editor or the draw tool.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

madeleine you missed the exponent of x inside parentheses - please check it

OpenStudy (triciaal):

please verify if " Angelina factored (x - 4^8 ) .." is correct
