Before the acts of 9/11, a White American citizen, Timothy McVeign, was involved in the bloodiest act of terrorism on U.S soil. Ever since the terrorist attack on 9/11, Arabs and Muslims have been subjected to unfair and selective enforcements of immigration laws. Law enforcements actions to stop suspected immigration law violation cannot be sole factors due to Supremes Court held on race, ethnicity, and national origin. In certain situations, it is constitutional for law enforcement to stop actions based on the background information (“Leadership Conference”). America’s largest Muslim civil liberties advocacy group, the council on Islamic-American Relations, that through media relationships, education and lobbying, expresses the view of Islamic on the American policy and allow the Muslim-American community to express their civil liberties ("Ethnic Profiling Is a Just Means of Preventing Terrorism”).
