I would advise to,

1.  Get a tutor who knows English, and a book by which you are going to be studying English. (i.e. some book with explanatory material, rules, examples, homework problems, etc.)

2.  Practice English by talking to other people.

Hi! I can't completely relate because I am an English speaker, but some of my best friends aren't from english speaking countries. What they did is:

~ They talked a lot to people in English 
     - like instead of speaking Chinese at home, they would practice speaking english
     - they would also talk to random people, no matter how awkward it was
     - they would also text, call and email in english

~ They read a lot. Not just books, but they would read anything they could to help practice their pronunciation 
      - it could be from reading books, magazines, websites, and even random objects like toothpaste!

~ if you don't mind spending money, you could always hire a tutor, and if you go to school, they may have free tutors available!

~ also write a lot to practice your grammar because grammar is different in every 
country
     - texting, homework, essays, fun... just practice a lot....and read it out as well to really get use to it

Just remember that English is not easy to learn and it takes time so be patient with yourself. My dad has lived in Canada for 20 years and he still doesn't fully understand the grammar and pronunciation and he's been doing these tips to improve it. And also, these tips won't work with everyone, so find a way that it does make a difference and with what you feel comfortable with!

i Would strongly recommend reading lots of books as well as writing. But honestly i cannot stress enough how important reading actually is... Good Luck :)
