OpenStudy (mondmann98):

What characters in Julius Caesar were Pro-Caesar, Anti-Caesar, and which ones were neutral? Another words, which characters were on Caesar's side, which were against him, and which ones were considered neutral? Thanks.

OpenStudy (osprey):

I'm thinking of the Shakespeare play about JC here. Mark Antony (Marcus Antonio) may have been about the only person who was on JC's side. "Friends, Romans and Countrymen; Lend me your ears; I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him ..." Most of the other people in the Roman corridors of power seem to have been against JC - hence the coup d'detat or assassination. Shakespeare tries to say that the biggest betrayal of JC was by Brutus, apparently one of JC's "friends" until he stabbed him ... with Shakespeare attributing the words "et tu Brute" suggesting betrayal as the closest word I can find.
