Easy Question (Medal & Fan) Plz help asap :C /I know this is Math, no help anywhere else/

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

Ok, I had to pick a world issue and write a small (five sentences) paragraph about what I can do to help with that issue. But one of the requirements is that I have to explain how the action(s) relate to world population. I choose Ecological Footprint... My question is: How does Ecological Footprint relate to world population?

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

So far I have According to Global Footprint Network, our planet needs 18 months to regenerate everything we demolish in a 12 month period. As a matter of fact, we currently consume more resources per year than our planet can produce in the same timeframe. In addition, the average ecological footprint per person worldwide is 2.6 global hectares. By adapting to small lifestyle changes, we can reduce our ecological footprint and make the world a better place. Blah Blah Blah... But I don't need help with my paragraph, just that question... This site may help answer it, but I need someone to help me understand what they mean http://www.treehugger.com/culture/population-growth-and-ecological-footprint-its-about-equity-environment-preventing-collapse.html

Elsa213 (elsa213):

Hrmm... So you want me to check your work? o:

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

No I need help answering this question: How does Ecological Footprint relate to world population? Read what I posted, that tells you what I need

Elsa213 (elsa213):

ohhh okii

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

I hope you can help, I don;t know what Im going to do...

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

don't*

Elsa213 (elsa213):

Do you know the meaning of Ecological Footprint?

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

Yes,

Elsa213 (elsa213):

What is the meaning?

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

the impact of a person or community on the environment, expressed as the amount of land required to sustain their use of natural resources.

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

I know that to reduce the Ecological Footprint, you can do small things like taking a short shower, turn lights off when you leave the room, don't leave the water running, ect.

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

But I just need to know how world population is related to this,

Elsa213 (elsa213):

Now what is world population?

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

v.v the population of the world, meaning the number of people living on this planet...

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

maybe I should just find someone who knows what this stuff is, no offense... I just rlly need this answered.

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

I'll give you a medal anyways if people don't end up helping me, because you were kind enough to try and help.

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

There.

Elsa213 (elsa213):

Now compare World population and Ecological Footprint...

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

I dont need to compare them, I need to find out how they are included in each other.

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

My question is: How does Ecological Footprint relate to world population?

OpenStudy (benlindquist):

um

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

um what @benlindquist

Elsa213 (elsa213):

How does Ecological Footprint 'relate to' world population?

OpenStudy (benlindquist):

thats for u to do

Elsa213 (elsa213):

Benneh, Calm du tatas boi <3

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

hint: what do you think happens to our ecological footprint as population goes up? does our footprint get better or worse?

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

Thats what Im trying to figure out @Elsa213 And benlindquist, I asked a question... this site is for asking

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

YAY FINNALY SOMEONE HELPING ME

OpenStudy (benlindquist):

I mean we can't do ur hw

Elsa213 (elsa213):

yew see? Vocaloid knows wat tew deww now I weel be leaving e.e Tenk yew Vocaloid <3 I liek yewr picture cx

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

OK, @Vocaloid I think our ecological footprint grows?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

good! more people ---> more resources being used ---> more things that need to be taken from the environment, like cutting down trees, burning fossil fuels, etc.

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

@benlindquist Im not asking for anyone to do my homework, IF I WAS ASKING FOR SOMEONE TO DO MY HOMEWORK I WOULD SAY: Select one or more actions you can (or have already) taken. In a well-developed paragraph (minimum of five sentences): Describe the action(s) Discuss how you could go about accomplishing the action(s) Explain how the action(s) relates to world population Explain why you selected this action(s)

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

Im simply asking a question to help me with my hw, and Im not asking for a direct answer... only help. OH I GET IT OK! THANK YOU SO MUCH VOCALOID!

OpenStudy (nevillesnetwork):

You saved my life, thank you so much! Your the 1 person who helped... the answer was as easy as hell and in front of my face the whole time -.-
