@amorfide

OpenStudy (mdina64):

you do online school too?

OpenStudy (ariannemily5621):

No its a class I have online though!

OpenStudy (amorfide):

I have no idea what these double arrow things are but I am going to assume I can just use the equation of a line so if you know two coordinates \[(x_{1},y_{1}),(x_{2}, y_{2})\] so in your case (8,0),(3,7) then you can use the equation to work out the slope \[m=\frac{ y_{2}-y_{1} }{ x_{2}-x_{1} }\] then use the equation of a line \[y-y_{1}=m(x-x_{1})\]

OpenStudy (ariannemily5621):

thanks!

OpenStudy (amorfide):

then you would multiply out the bracket, and get it into the form y=mx+b then! to work out CD you know the point D(5,5) so you would let x=5, y=5 and you know m from before and you would work out the new b so you would just do 5=m(5)+b (replace m with whatever you worked out before, since they are parallel, they have the same slope) work out b then you would simply write y=mx+b (again, replace m with what you had before, and replace b with what you just worked out) this would be CD

OpenStudy (amorfide):

I hope that made sense work it out step by step, and show your working out here I will correct you if needed

OpenStudy (ariannemily5621):

thanks so much!!!
