OpenStudy (dottiecat):

Which ordered pair is the solution to the system of equations? 2x - 5y = -5 x + 2y = 11 A (7, 2) B (15, 7) C ( 5, 3) D ( 3, 4)

OpenStudy (kamibug):

Hi Dottie ! What did you try ? :)

OpenStudy (dottiecat):

Hi @KamiBug , I was kind of hoping if you could help me get started. I don't know where to start o.o

OpenStudy (kamibug):

You can solve the second equation for x, then plug in it's value into x in the first equation. That'll let you solve the first equation for y. Do you get it ?

OpenStudy (dottiecat):

Sort of..

OpenStudy (dottiecat):

Sorry, back

OpenStudy (kamibug):

its* ^ What do you need to do to isolate x in the second equation?
