OpenStudy (chanteboles123):

What is a example of a defined term

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You'll have to be far more specific.

OpenStudy (chanteboles123):

In my geometry book it say give an example of a defined term

OpenStudy (angelarulestheworld):

Defined terms can be combined with each other and with undefined terms to define still more terms. An angle, for example, is a combination of two different rays or line segments that share a single end point. Similarly, a triangle is composed of three noncollinear points and the line segments that lie between them.

Thank you i need a lot of help right now seriously

OpenStudy (angelarulestheworld):

you're welcome, what else do you need help with?

OpenStudy (chanteboles123):

Well i missed i few pages in my geometry book because i was sick so i have to make it up but I kinda know it

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

A defined term is a term that has a definition. A point, a line, and a plane are considered undefined terms. There is no definition for them, only descriptions. Many other terms have definitions. Definition of Line Segment A line segment is the set of points consisting of two different points on a line and all the points in between those two points. Those two points are called the endpoints of the line segment. Definition of Point in Between Two Points Point C is between points A and B if points A, B, and C are collinear, and AC = BC. Definition of Collinear Points Collinear points are points that lie on the same line. There are many other defined terms used in Geometery.
