On average, how long does it take to make one plastic water bottle?
Is there more info for this question ?
It's just for a research paper, so it's kind of specific but I was surprised to find that I couldn't find this info anywhere @phi
In that case, you have to re-formulate the question, to one that you can answer. For example, can you find how many bottles are made at a factory? Then use that info to guesstimate how long it takes to make one bottle.
this is an incredibly difficult question to answer since it is a multi step process and these steps are often done by other companies in different locations as well as multiple units over a duration of time. A little information about the process, we start with plastic pellets, plastic pellets are melted in an extruder and then melted plastic is used in order to create a small plastic tube known as the preform this preform is often shipped to water bottle companies where they are heated up and then blown up into the normal disposable water bottle that you're so familiar with. Process is known as extrusion blow molding
