Question

Recently I have seen users on OpenStudy writing about how they want to kill themselves and what not. And I see users telling them "if you were going to do it, you would've done it, you're just looking for attention." It is not right to say that to ANYONE, even if it is a stranger. Instead tell the user to talk to you about it and if you don't care then at least tell them to confront a mod. We want to make this site a positive place for users to learn. I am personally going to start banning users for belittling and being rude to those who need help. I put this post up to remind us that we need to start making OS great again! #trumpreference

Yeah, I've seen those "kys" or things like that. It is actually annoying and sad at the same time.
And than user making post, that they want to quit their life, or some one bullying them..I don't think OS was made for that.

+1 Pooja i think this people should get banned, maybe that would decrease and less users wouild actually say it.

I know that users saying that they want to end their lives can get a bit annoying for people, but maybe they are in a serious need for help. And we as a community, should respect that.

I'm a mod who cares little about acronyms (in terms of cursing) I really don't care but when I see "kys" i do take that seriously.

nice job guys. i agree that you should start banning people for bullying. @pooja195 thanks for trying your hardest to put a stop to this, i don't like it either. I feel bad for the people that are getting bullied like this, no-one deserves to be treated like that. I believe that anyone that bullies anyone should get banned, but i am not a mod so i can't do anything but report all of this. I agree OS should be a positive place for people to learn. I would like the bullying to stop, it hurts me to see others getting bullied. i have even thought about quitting because of all the bullies, and because i don't like coming on here and seeing people get bullied at least once a day often times more. I would like for OS to be a place where people don't have to worry about getting bullied. #STOPBULLYING

I completely agree with this, bullying is a really big problem, i should know i've faced it myself. But now people use the internet for it, knowing deliberately that they can hide behind the screen, thinking that they can get away with it.

I think you should just tell those users this in not the right place to say those things if they are in depression and they really want to get better then they should go for some professional help instead of telling strangers about it
