Plz help!

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

OpenStudy (sanoofy):

1. Does not equal. 2. = 3. x=18

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

plz explain @sanoofy

OpenStudy (revlogic):

first two you just cross multiply to see the fractions are equal. Last one, just solve for x. 2/3 = 12/x 2x = 36 x = 18

OpenStudy (revlogic):

7/5 = 15/10 ==> 100 != 75

OpenStudy (sanoofy):

1. 7/5 cannot be further reduced, but 15/10 can be further reduced to 3/2 which therefore, 7/5 cannot equal. 2. 6/8 reduced is 3/4 if divided by 2, and 15/20 is also 3/4 if divided by 5. Therefore it is equal. 3. 2/3 = 12/x so you know it has to be equal, so 12/18 would equal 2/3 because 12/18 is divisible by 6, meaning it also equals 2/3. @rainbow_rocks03

OpenStudy (revlogic):

6/8 = 15/20 ==> 120 = 120

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

Thank you

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

and the same for these?

OpenStudy (sanoofy):

Yes!

OpenStudy (revlogic):

6/11 = 84/x ==> 6x = 84 *11 ===> x = 154

OpenStudy (revlogic):

22/55 = 12/h ===> 22h = 55*12 ===> h = 30
