OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Growth or Decay?

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

http://prntscr.com/dcyc0n

OpenStudy (phi):

if the base is less than one, it decays more than 1, it grows if exactly 1, no change.

OpenStudy (sanoofy):

First one is decay. Second one is growth. Third one is decay. Decay is >1, if the base is greater than one it is <1, if it is one, no changes.

OpenStudy (alivejeremy):

Yeah ^

OpenStudy (alivejeremy):

Exactly what he said ^

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Wait so the t/4 makes no difference, @Phi?

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

It's still just the number before the exponent?

OpenStudy (phi):

it does do something, but it does not affect grow versus decay t/4 "slows down" whatever is going on

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Okay. And 1. has 2t so won't that mean that 2 is the base? :/

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Since it's before t or?

OpenStudy (phi):

the exponent is the entire "little stuff in the upper right"

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Oh yeah, ik ik Okay, thanks! :)

OpenStudy (phi):

the base is the "big" number with the exponent

OpenStudy (phi):

in the first equation, the 200 is neither a base nor exponent. It's a coefficient and it has very little effect on things
