OpenStudy (cp123):

When is it best to use graphing to solve a system of equations over substitution and elimination method?

OpenStudy (cp123):

Like I know you use substition method when there arent large coefficients with the variables and elimanation when there is larger variables, but what about graphing? When do you want to use graphing over that?

OpenStudy (ian890):

You can use graphing when you want a more visual display of your expression. Also, graphing can give you more precise answers sometimes. Graphing can also solve expression quicker, if you have a graphing application such as Geogebra.

Thanks :)

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Graphing is best when functions overlap, thus creating infinite solutions. It's a visual representation of a consistency that extends infinitely. Similarly, it can also be used to find a solution or none at all.
