Well, polyploidy means having many sets of chromosomes. Tetraploidy means have 4 sets of chromosomes. Aneuploidy means having an unusual number of chromosomes (this includes down syndrome). Trisomy is a subcategory under aneuploidy. Trisomy is specifically when a person has 3 copies of a chromosome instead of two. The best word that fits the description is aneuploidy because this can account for any error in chromosome numbers
