Which plant-cell organelle supports and maintains the cell's shape and protects the cell from damage?

Plant cells have two outer ring-like structures. One is the cell membrane (which is also found in animal cells) the other is the cell wall. This is unique to plants because this prevents their membranes from exploding from too much water. These cell walls also gives them their structure.
