There’s no doubt about it. History is a big subject! It has to be. Why? Because it covers the events, actions, and ideas of all of humankind. That is a lot of time and a lot of different people! S.P.R.I.T.E. can help us learn about the different pieces of the puzzle that makes up history. The word S.P.R.I.T.E. is an acronym, or a word formed from the beginning letter or letters of each part of a larger term. S.P.R.I.T.E. stands for: social Relating to people and their society political Relating to politics religious Relating to religion and its influence over a culture intellectual Relating to a society’s mindset and philosophy technological Relating to technology and its advancements in history economical Relating to how an economy is run and what resources it depends on

OpenStudy (ashlyn_loves_cats):

The Mesopotamian civilisation was the first to spring onto the historical scene. The Sumerians have the distinction of being the first people to form a city-based civilisation 3300 BC. They developed the cuneiform script, the earliest known writing system in the world. The Egyptian civilisation started c. 3200 BC when king Menes formed a dynastic kingdom by uniting northern and southern Egypt. By 3000 BC, the Egyptians had developed a system of writing called hieroglyphics, based on pictures and symbols.

OpenStudy (daddysbabygirl):
