Help help help will medal

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

OpenStudy (knawk):

y=1

OpenStudy (knawk):

B

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

all numbers: -2 and less more than 2

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

@phi is this correct

OpenStudy (phi):

The range are the y values a horizontal line has only one y value (a very small range, just one number)

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

1?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, the line goes through y=1 it's domain is [-2,1] (but they don't ask about that)

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

They ask about the range of the function

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

@3mar

OpenStudy (3mar):

Well, I am here. Where are you stuck? @phi has explained it as it should be!

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, the range is 1 for this problem that is choice B, right ?

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Yes that is choice b

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

But would that be the only answer

OpenStudy (maxwellfish):

I meant second box lol

OpenStudy (3mar):

WHy not!? It is not a condition that you pick more than one!

OpenStudy (phi):

the range are the y values that the line "reaches" the line goes side ways and only is at y=3 so that is its range. to get a bigger range, the line would have to angle up (or down)

OpenStudy (phi):

***y=1 (not y=3)

OpenStudy (3mar):

Actually there is no any correct answer unless \(\color{red}{y=1}\) because this is the range, and the range is just one value, not multiple values.

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Oh so the line would overall need to extend

OpenStudy (phi):

you can extend this line forever, but it will never go up or down, so its range will stay 1

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

OKay thank you for explaining @phi and @3mar

OpenStudy (3mar):

Don't mention it! Any Help... Any Time... What matters is that you got the idea, @zarkam21 !
