Help with this difficult question

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

OpenStudy (3mar):

I am with you if you faced any difficulties with that!

OpenStudy (maxwellfish):

I'm pretty sure B is the answer

OpenStudy (phi):

G(F(x)) = 1/2x domain: start by assuming all x values are allowed 1) remove any "divide by zero" 2) remove any square root of negative number you don't have any square roots but you do have a divide. you do *not* want the bottom 2x to be 0 so find what x values cause 2x=0 what x is trouble ?

OpenStudy (maxwellfish):

OpenStudy (maxwellfish):

Thats The answer

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

Not B

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

D?

OpenStudy (maxwellfish):

Yes it has too be

OpenStudy (phi):

do you see that all x's (all "real numbers" are ok, except x=0 (because 1/(2*0) becomes 1/0 and we don't allow divide by 0 )

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Yes I see that

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Well because you allow all real number and you don't want anything to be divided by zero wouldn't the answer be D?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. D is the answer

OpenStudy (maxwellfish):

oh look at that

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Thank you for explaining @phi
