@steve816

OpenStudy (steve816):

60 Oranges, 18 Apples The ratio of oranges to apples would be 60:18 Now, time to simplify!

likeabossssssss (likeabossssssss):

ok

OpenStudy (steve816):

Any ideas how to simplify?

OpenStudy (3mar):

1 min please @likeabossssssss

OpenStudy (steve816):

It's just like reducing this fraction\[\large \frac{ 60 }{ 18 }\]

likeabossssssss (likeabossssssss):

what i do is dived and ok @3mar

OpenStudy (steve816):

Well, notice how both the numerator and the denominator can be divided by 6. Therefore, \[\large \frac{ 60 }{ 18 }=\frac{ 10 }{ 3 }\]Ratio of oranges to apples would be 10:3

likeabossssssss (likeabossssssss):

so \[\frac{ 3 }{ 10 }\]

likeabossssssss (likeabossssssss):

@steve816 btw they r asking 4 it to be in a frction not hole number

OpenStudy (steve816):

Ah, then it would be\[\frac{ 10 }{ 3 }\]

OpenStudy (3mar):

Time for pray - 25 min - Salam!
