Please help Why can't dark matter cool down? What consequence does that have for the size of a dark matter halo?
@saldis
please help ....i need to turn it in
It's because the mass of the gas doesn't produce enough gravity to exceed the force that made it expand.
@Knawk so that would be the consequence? that it can't expand
so then why can't it cool?
Yes, it cannot expand.
@Knawk so why can't it cool down?
dark matter dilutes when it spreads into a larger volume, and causes the same gravitational attraction as ordinary. like i mentioned earlier "doesn't produce enough gravity.." also, matter varies, and dark matter differs a lot. it doesn’t emit any electromagnetic radiation for all we can tell. it's really complicated but these are some reasons it doesn't cool down.
@Knawk okay, Thank you so much !!!
You're welcome =)
