How do you determine the domain of a sinusoidal function? (Example provided, please?)
domain is all possible values of "x" that exists for the function
if the function is f(x) = sin x , then the domain would be all real numbers depicted as (-infinity, infinity) since you could pick any arbitrary value for x
if you have a bounded function g(x)= sin (x) for x>0 the domain would be (0, infinity) since you can only choose positive values greater than 0
in terms of range- possible values of y the range of f(x)=sin x would be [-1,1] since the only possible values of f(x) or y are points between -1 and 1
i hope i explained that well enough and to the context of the problem
Thanks! And yes, I do understand the rest, its just domain that threw me off.
