I've gotten most of it down, but I'm not sure about expressing it as an inequality.
That is, the range of values for it.
The sides of an obtuse triangle are x, 24, 26, where x is the shortest side. Find the range of possible values for x and express it as an inequality ------------- x has to be greater than the difference and less than the sum of the other 2 sides.
So... \[50>x>2\] ?
