Sam decides to buy 100 shares of ABC company. They cost $26.25 a share. The commission is 5% of the total price. What is Sam's total cost?

OpenStudy (awesomedude2078):

mostly i just need the formula

OpenStudy (triciaal):

1 share cost 26.25 100 shares cost 100 times the cost of 1 share commission is 5% of cost so add 5% of the cost of 100 shares

OpenStudy (awesomedude2078):

2,756.25

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

to figure this out shouldn't you just multiply 26.25 by 100 than add 5% to it?

OpenStudy (awesomedude2078):

that's what i did

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

\[\huge\color{red}p \huge\color{orange}u \huge\color{yellow}p \huge\color{green}p \huge\color{blue}i \huge\color{magenta}e \huge\color{red}s \]
