You are asked to fence in a triangular playground. Two sides of the playground have lengths of 100 feet and 200 feet. What is the maximum total length of fence you could possibly need?

OpenStudy (sooobored):

for any triangle ABC A+B > C

OpenStudy (sooobored):

why?

OpenStudy (angel.candy):

THE RULE GOVERNING SIDES OF A TRIANGLE IS THAT SUM OF ANY 2 SIDES MUST BE MORE THAN THE THIRD SIDE.HERE 2 SIDES ARE 100 AND 200.THEIR SUM IS 300.SO THIRD SIDE HAS TO BE LESS THAN 300.SO MAXIMUM LENGTH OF FENCE IS 300+300=600 FEET.
