OpenStudy (underreconstruction):

A gene with the sequence ATTCATTCA underwent duplication after a few generations. Which sequence represents this gene after the mutation? A. ATTCATTCA B. ACTTACTTA C. ATTCACATTCA D. ATCCATTCA E. ATCATTCA

OpenStudy (sooobored):

a mutation is when a base gets accidentally switched with another the length wont change

OpenStudy (zale101):

A mutation is not only about changing the base pairs. There's something that alters the sequence of the genes by either inserting or deleting pairs of the DNA which develops a huge impact on the organism because when it further gets coded to produce proteins, the amino acids (codons) may have an extra nucleotide floating around or 2 nucleotides (in case of deletion). 1 codon= 3 nucleotides. 1 nucleotide or 2 WONT make an amino acid. If a base is added, deleted, changed is a mutation.
