Can someone please explain this to me? Can someone just tell me how to get the equation for the problem that's all i don't understand

OpenStudy (fo14):

I that you need to divide 16.6 by 100 but i don't know how to get the equation for the problem

OpenStudy (fo14):

typo know

OpenStudy (mecharv):

100lb on earth = 16.6lb on the moon So, given weight on earth is x and weight on the moon is y, You are right, 16.6/100 is what has to be done but how do you relate the two... so y=16.6x/100 Now can you proceed?
