Over a 20-year period, a certain city recorded a total rainfall of 621 inches. The rainfall during this past year was 28 inches. If the variable r stands for the total amount of rain for the other 19 years, which of the following units could apply to that variable? A. Years B. Inches C. Pounds D. Months
r stands for the total amount of rain A. Years B. Inches C. Pounds D. Months
so would that be A: Years?
Have you ever seen a rain gauge? Your parents might have one in the yard or they probably used one when the weather of TV or radio reported how much it rained last night. Do they say it rained 3 years last night?
@retirEEd What an anology :O You earned yourself a fan :D
No, i think maybe its Inches then. That also makes more sense.
Yeah inches does make more sense.
Thanks @mecharv and I hope my question didn't seem to be in anyway sarcastic to you @NeverlandsShadow. Whether or not the amount of rainfall was over one day or even 19 years, the amount of rain is measured in inches or I guess feet, centimeters meters, etc....
