HELP ASAP!! DUE TOMORROW!! WILL MEDAL FIRST TO HELP!! IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO FIX? Watch a commercial and write whether you think it was Ethos, Pathos, Logos, or everything. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-R_483zeVF8 Ethos: The dad is sending his daughter out with a guy he just met. He wants her to have a good time, but he is also worried. The car that he owns with the technology it comes with can help him out with that. Pathos: The dad appears to be very loving to his daughter and suspicious of her date. Logos: The young man behaved because the dad was able to keep his eyes on him.

OpenStudy (hannansm):

Actually, I think you have interchanged ethos with pathos. Ethos relies on your perception of a person. Pathos rely on emotions. From the phrase, "The dad appears to be very loving to his daughter" is relying on the father's emotion to explain why he's suspicious of his daughter's date. Therefore, Pathos. The phrase, "with a guy he just met" gives you a hint that the reason for the dad's worries is because he knows nothing about his daughter's date.
