Jellyfish


To begin, the number of Mnemiopsis jellyfish blooms are leaving fisherman without fish, causing them to lose millions. In fact, they can hatch some 40,000 eggs daily. These blooms eat the larvae and eggs of fish that fisherman, especially local ones of the Black Sea, depend on resulting in the loss of money. Clearly, the problem is growing at a rapid rate.
As one can see, the jellyfish swarms are affecting fisheries but the problem is also spreading to power plants. These plants are in Japan, Israel and Scotland. Plankton ecologist Steve Hay says, "Science data shows that over the past few years there has been an increase in swarms of jellyfish.” When the swarms clog the power plants, the people lose electricity which creates many upset citizens. With so many people affected, there needs to be some solutions.
Certainly, there needs to be ways to remedy the jellyfish blooms. A type of jellyfish called the Bereo jellyfish eat Mnemiopsis jellyfish which could help control the blooms. Another possible solution comes from students in Japan. They’ve learned they can make caramel confect out of jellyfish to reduce their population in the sea and to prevent the clogging of the industrial plant. In the long run, these simple solutions might be just what is needed to control the blooms.
After all, the fisherman will find a way to find a simple solutions and get control of the jellyfish. So, the fisherman can sell the larvae eggs also, have money and have a job for a living. There are large portions distinctive issues Anyway there will be an answer on unraveling it. The fisherman discover an approach should find straightforward results Also get control of the jellyfish.
