OpenStudy (hanihani):

projectile is fired vertically upward from a height of 600 feet above the ground with the velocity of 803 feet per second. Write a quadratic model for its height h(t) above the ground after t seconds.

OpenStudy (mww):

For upward vertical motion the quadratic equation (easily derived from first principles) is y = vt - 0.5gt^2 + h where v is the velocity, t is tje time and g = 9.8 m/s^2 or 32.174 ft/s^2 plug in you v and h (height above ground)
