those little tick marks on a side mean they are the same length, you can equate those two sides to figure out the value of x

OpenStudy (snowball):

I found x, I don't know how to find y

OpenStudy (snowball):

x=39

OpenStudy (danjs):

you looking at the same one i am? |dw:1481012792462:dw|

OpenStudy (danjs):

Those little tick marks mean the sides with those are the same length. sides AC and AB are equal length AC = AB x + 8 = 2x - 1

OpenStudy (danjs):

that gives you x=9, using that, you can get the length of side AC AC = 3x - 3 = 3*9 - 3 = 24

OpenStudy (snowball):

That's the wrong one... I'm looking at this http://prnt.sc/dfxno1

OpenStudy (sunnnystrong):

Okay well if angle A is equal to angle B and you know that the sum of all of the angle in a triangle are equivalent to 180 degrees... you can solve for the value y by subtracting angles A and B from 180. Than angle C is equal to that number (112). 4y=112 Solve for y.

OpenStudy (snowball):

Oh okay thank you
