I'm confused ... In all the stuff I've seen either on TV or on films, Romans in Rome are shown wearing togas or other light weight clothing. The Robert Graves' Novel "I, Claudius" has almost every character in a toga or similar. However, on european TV today, Italians are shown all dressed up against the cold. So, has the Italian climate changed from 2000 years ago, or is it simply that all the stuff mentioned above is in some sort of "fictionalised summer".
