I don't know how to do it
I'm sure you know something about this. How many interior angles does this triangle have? Do you know that the sum of these interior angles must be 180 degrees?
Three and yes
Is it this 5y-10=180
@mathmale
The sum of all three angles must equal 180 degrees.
AC is the same length as CB. Therefore angle A is equal to angle B. That should help you find X.
180 = 50 + 2x + 5y + 10 (Knowledge given by @royalranger helps you know, you may construct this equation as "50 = 2x" to find the x value as well.)
You may plug in the x value you find from that resultant and receive a constant in which you can take away from 180 and leave you with a constant that equals the variable of 5y. I may help you through this process if you wish.
x=25
Oh okay you may @Vuriffy
Yes. 180 = 50 + 2(25) + 5y + 10 Combine like terms. All you must do now is add (50 + 50 + 10), what does that equal?
110
y=14
180 = 5y + 110 What do you think you do next? (You must isolate 5y).
180 = 5y + 110 Subtract 110 70 = 5y divide by 5. y = 14. Yes, you are correct. Wonderful job.
