How can individual citizens influence public policy? Individual citizens could influence the public policy by forming their own groups or events or having speeches in certain areas that will help influence others and once they did others will try to do the same thing increasing the size. And once the size is big enough the government as to listen to the people for it’s us who helps them be in the position they are in. 5. Choose a social or political issue that interests you. What changes would you like to see related to this issue? How could you and other citizens help bring about that change? Give at least three examples of actions you could take. education of public schools I a political issue, I would like to see change is having those who are not interested in learning transferred into another program to prevent teachers and students from any distractions. Three actions that could be taken are, 1. Someone sit in each class and list the kids who are disruptive, 2. Have the teachers lit the kids 3. Run a simulation on whether or not it would actually work. 6. Why is it important for you to participate in your community? Why is it important for you to vote or otherwise be part of the political process? Give at least one reason for each. Participating in your community helps you know everything that is happening around you. It will also show how the politics is effecting your community and your surroundings. You can also figure out what organizations in your community are politically involved. You can know what organization are helpful and what role they play. Being a part of the voting process is important because you can know every detail and understand more of what’s happening. Rather than voting for a book because of its cover you must be able to read them to know what they are doing certain things.

Poss paraphrase of first sentence They advertise, perhaps using subliminal techniques, to influence voters in their (ie the media) favour. other bits ... ... the chaos of other countries .... 3. "People are using media to base their decisions off of. Possible paraphrase ... Television, mobile phone companies and the internet continuously upgrade their voter targetted advertising. The advertising is can be aggressive; it is often portrayed as important, perhaps sensational information.

Individuals could influence public policy by targetting areas in which to hold rallies with like minded people. Their hope is that others will be positively influenced by the rallies, and join in. Should the attendances at the rallies be large enough, this collective lobbying may make the government listen to the majority will of the electorate.

5 I would like to see change is having those who are not interested in learning transferred into another program to prevent teachers and students from any distractions. Three actions that could be taken are, 1. Someone sit in each class and list the kids who are disruptive, 2. Have the teachers lit the kids 3. Run a simulation on whether or not it would actually work. I am very concerned about a lack of classroom discipline, since this distracts the teacher and disrupts my learning. Actions that could be taken include 1. An official to deal with disruption (I don't understand your points 2 and 3)

That's about the only sentence I'd paraphrase in 6. I think the ending sentence, adapting the phrase "never judge a book by its cover" is a good idea. All I've written is simply my interpretation. Which you choose is up to you, fairly obviously. Good on you.
