6 Geometry questions, please correct my incorrect answers
1. Which of these transformations are isometries? The diagrams are not to scale.
(I) parallelogram EFGH-->parallelogram XWVU
(II) hexagon CDEFGH---> hexagon YXWVUT
(III) triangle EFG--> triangle VWU
A. I only B. II and III only**** C. I and III only D. I, II, and III
2. Which image is the translation of ABC given by the translation rule (x, y)---> (x-2, y+2)?
I think the answer is the 3rd picture (Geom 7)
3. Which graph shows a triangle and it's reflection image across the x-axis? I think the answer is the 2nd picture (Geom 10)
4. The hexagon GIKMPR and FJN are regular. The dashed line segments form 30 degree angles. What is the image of segment ON after a rotation of 180 degrees? A. Segment ON B. Segment OH**** C. Segment OJ D. Segment OL
5. The hexagon GIKMPR and FJN are regular. The dashed line segments form 30 degree angles. What is the angle of rotation about O that maps segment PQ to Segment RF? A. 240 degrees B. 210 degrees**** C. 90 degrees D. 300 degrees
6. How many lines of symmetry does the figure have? A. 2 B. 3 C. 4 D. 6****
I think the answers are: 1. B 2. 3rd picture (Geom 7) 3. 2nd picture (Geom 10) 4. B 5. B 6. D (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)
Notice that you're not getting responses? I suspect it's because you're listing 12 questions in one post. Come on. Would you answer questions if there were 12 of them in one post? One per post, please.
Miscounted the number of your questions, sorry. But you've still got far too many qu. in one post. Choose the question you want help with first, and post only that question and its parts (if there are multiple parts to it).

@DanJS ill just tag you here. these are all the questions with my thoughts on the answers
The first one looks good, isometries in a translation means all the distanced remain the same. You can rotate,translate,reflect, because the size doesn't change, distances remain the same. a dilation however, zooms in or out, and the size and distances change
so #1 is correct @DanJS ?
I went by the answers with the ** next to them. All look right except one..
5. The hexagon GIKMPR and FJN are regular. The dashed line segments form 30 degree angles. What is the angle of rotation about O that maps segment PQ to Segment RF?
Angle measures and rotations you measure moving in counter clock wise motion. side PQ needs to rotate 300 degrees to line up to RF
So I was incorrect on only one question which was question #5 and the correct answer for it is D?
yep
Thank you @DanJS for helping me correct my work.
welcome, this site is closing in like a month, make an account here http://questioncove.com/study#/groups/Mathematics someone made a clone site i guess
can you check 2 more questions for me @DanJS ?
sure , just post a new question
