OpenStudy (junebug12):

what are the four components of Dalton's Atomic Theory

OpenStudy (habbababba1):

The main points of Dalton's atomic theory are: Everything is composed of atoms, which are the indivisible building blocks of matter and cannot be destroyed. All atoms of an element are identical. The atoms of different elements vary in size and mass.

OpenStudy (habbababba1):

Modern scholarship has identified four basic ideas in Dalton's chemical atomic theory. 1) chemical elements are made of atoms 2) the atoms of an element are identical in their masses 3) atoms of different elements have different masses 4) atoms only combine in small, whole number ratios such as 1:1, 1:2, 2:3 and so on.
