AravindG:

A graph is said to be decreasing if we find that the y value decreases with increase in x. Let's look at option 1) For -1 to 0: y varies from +2.5(approx) to 0 and x from -1 to 0 diff in y=0-2.5=-2.5=-ve diff in x=0-(-1)=1=+ve So for an increase in x y decreased. So graph is decreasing in this region. Similarly check the other options. Good luck :)

KingKermit:

are the answers a and b? yes i am kjsaif....i was having lag

AravindG:

Right you are :)

KingKermit:

Thanks!

AravindG:

In general for graphs when you move in downward direction as here it is usually decreasing.

KingKermit:

ok :)

AravindG:
