[9x + 6y = -9

if you have 2 lines, the possible solutions are

1 solution
no solutions
infinitely many solutions

1 solution is when the 2 lines cross at one point
no solutions is when the 2 lines are parallel to each other
infinitely many solutions are when the 2 lines are ontop of each other

2 lines with different slopes will only have 1 solution
if the 2 lines have the same slope, they can either be parallel or ontop of each other
