2. Which image is the translation of ABC given by the translation rule (x, y)---> (x-2, y+2)?

OpenStudy (cookiemonster18):

OpenStudy (cookiemonster18):

I think the answer is the 3rd picture (Geom 7)

OpenStudy (cookiemonster18):

@YanaSidlinskiy

OpenStudy (danjs):

(x, y)---> (x-2, y+2) That says each points coordinates will change by those amounts during translation. The x value will decrease by2, and the y value will increase by 2. This happens to every point in the plane.

OpenStudy (danjs):

Move each vertex point on the triangle to have new coordinates that are 2 less in x and 2 more in y

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Dan you realize he already has an answer... He just wants to know if it's right or wrong.

OpenStudy (danjs):

oh, didn't see that line up there, yeah you are correct

OpenStudy (cookiemonster18):

thank you. Can you guys help with some more?

OpenStudy (danjs):

OpenStudy (danjs):

OpenStudy (cookiemonster18):

OpenStudy (danjs):
