OpenStudy (thefluffmuncher):

Is the answer \[(3x^{2}+8y)(3x ^{2}-8y)\] ?

OpenStudy (danjs):

yes, you can multiply all that back out to check for the same problem, but the idea is the property for difference of two squares (x + y)*(x - y) = x^2 - y^2

OpenStudy (danjs):

you see both terms in the problem are squares, \[\large 9x^4 = [3x^2]^2\] \[\large 64y^2=[8y]^2\]

OpenStudy (thefluffmuncher):

omg ty :)

OpenStudy (danjs):

welcome
