What natural hazard usually results when crustal plates scrape and slide past one another? A. hurricanes B. tsunamis C. tornadoes D. earthquakes

What do you think? :) An Earthquake occurs when the tectonic plates shift and move against each other. This could cause a tsunami. The thing that makes tornadoes is both hot and cold air mixing together forming a tornado with the clouds. Water vapor is the "fuel" for the hurricanes because it releases the "latent heat of condensation" when it condenses to form clouds and rain, warming the surrounding air.

psirockin2:

Yep it's D

HuskyNation:

Earthquakes occur when the tectonic plates are moving either rubbing against each other or colliding with each other, which could result in mountain ranges by them colliding and both plates rising together. Or one of the plates could would slide underneath one.
