Two ocean beaches are being affected by erosion. The table shows the width, in feet, of each beach at high tide measured where 1995 is represented by year 0. B. Between which years will the beaches have approximately the same width?

OpenStudy (meteorite):

Between year 11 and 12?

OpenStudy (sooobored):

it is incredibly hard to say in my opinion if you assumed that the erosion is constant, then through interpolating, you would notice that the width would decrease by 2 every year as for approximately close... that could mean almost anything

OpenStudy (sooobored):

unless you're looking at dune width

OpenStudy (sooobored):

i take that back, dune width looks like it is increasing by 5 every year so that doesnt help either? are you sure its asking to compare width and not volume?

OpenStudy (sooobored):

or area?

OpenStudy (meteorite):

I'm sure

OpenStudy (meteorite):

I already know the rate at which each of them increase and decrease I just wanted another set of eyes for part B.

OpenStudy (sooobored):

well based off just the chart, i would either go with 10,11 or 11,12 but in the grand scheme of things, they dont make much sense if the rate is constant
