Write the slope intercept form of the equation of the line through the given points. (-1,2) and (0,4)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

1. Use the slope formula (which you could look up thru Google if need be) to find the slope of the line segment connecting the two given points. 2. Starting with the slope-intercept form of the eq'n of a straight line, insert the info you know (which is the slope (m), the x-coordinate and the y-coordinate of the given point. This will enable you to find the value of the y-intercept, b. 3. Write out y=mx+b as your answer. x and y must appear as is; you will have calculated the slope and the y-intercept, m and b.
