Alisa buys a watermelon every year. The first time she bought a watermelon, it cost $2.50. She notices the price is getting more expensive, at a rate of 3% per year. Alisa sketches a graph of the situation, labeling the y-intercept and the point representing the price in Year 4. Which statements are true? Select each correct answer. http://prntscr.com/dilnbz
A, D, and E?
A & E: accurate D: calculating...
What equation did you use for the function graphed?
I don't remember.
Okay, well... the price started at 2.50 and increases by 3% each year. Year one: 2.50+0.03(2.50) Year two: (year one)+0.03(year one) Year three: (year two)+0.03(year two) Year four: (year three)+0.03(year three) And so on...
I guess function form would be \(f(x)=x_{n}+0.03(x_{n})\)? Or something like that.
I'm not very good at these.
It's fine. I'll just ask someone else.
