An artist designed a badge for a school club. Figure ABCD on the coordinate grid below shows the shape of the badge: The badge is enlarged and plotted on the coordinate grid as figure JKLM with point J located at (−4, −7) and point M located at (−2, −3). Which of these could be the coordinates for point L? (−1, −7) (3, −7) (0, −3) (2, −3)

This is an enlargement factor 2 the distances between the points are doubled
the point corresponding to C in the enlarged image is L ANd C is 1 unit to the right of A So how many units to the right of K will L be?
* C is 1 unit to the right of D ( not A)
2?
since its doubled
Yes (I should have said to the right of M , sorry) So now you know the coordinates of L
I have to keep going out and returning to the post because the system isnt clearing my posts!
@welshfella Its ok thank you for helping!
yw
@welshfella just checking so am going to ober from M to get L ? (1,3)
Yes - my error its to the right of M ( not K)
so the answer is 1, -3 ?
No M is at (-2,-3) so going to the right will retain n the y = -3 but x coordinate will be = -2 + 2 = 0
so L = (0,-3)
