OpenStudy (troy121101):

did I help you on the last one?

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

@Troy121101 can you describe the relationship between the temperature of the city and the number of popsicles sold.

OpenStudy (troy121101):

the warmer the temperature in the city, the more popsicles being sold, the colder the temperature in the city, the less popsicles being sold

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

great! @Troy121101 Describe how you can make the line of best fit. Write the approximate slope and y-intercept of the line of best fit. Show your work, including the points that you use to calculate the slope and y-intercept.

OpenStudy (troy121101):

is this your question or mine?

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

mine

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

but i dont get it and i need your help answering it .. please :)

OpenStudy (troy121101):

For the line of best fit, you draw a line in the middle of the data set that makes it equal. For the y-intercept you just take the point on the graph where the line of best fit intersects with the y-axis

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok! thank you :)

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

@Troy121101 whats the approximate slope ??

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

@Troy121101 and you forgot to Show your work, including the points that you use to calculate the slope and y-intercept.

OpenStudy (troy121101):

where does the line of best fit intersect with the y-axis? wherever it does, round it up if it is closer to the next row up, or round down if it is closer to the next row down.

OpenStudy (troy121101):

I am not solving the problem, I am telling you how to do it yourself

OpenStudy (troy121101):

so as far as I know, I don't have any work to show

OpenStudy (volleyballlover55):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (troy121101):

no problem
