OpenStudy (deidaranara):

If coding is creating something when you apply for a job why do they ask you for your code on a certain thing if it was already created

OpenStudy (rsmith6559):

If it was already created, then they know the answer. They're just checking to see if you do.

OpenStudy (deidaranara):

yes but what if they tell you to create something new in your own way when it was already created in somebody elses way

OpenStudy (thatrandomperson45):

rsmith was right, they want to see that you know what you are doing before they let on their team to work creatively. Also if you are talking about game or software development companies they will take input from coders but mostly you do what you're told, and get paid.

rvc (rvc):

yup exactly @rsmith6559 @ThatRandomPerson45
