when x = 0 f(x) = 4 so we can write f(x) = 4 a^0 = 4 now reading off the gragh when x = 1 f(x) = 7 so 7 = 4 a^1 so a = 7/4 or 1.75 so our function will be f(x) = 4(1.75)^x
